All players must be 16 years and over, be able to produce a current handicap certificate and have a maximum golf handicap for a gentleman of 28 and 36 for ladies.  Players without a golfing handicap certificate will be allowed to play the courses after 12.00 o'clock.  Cyprus golfing dress codes are strictly enforced and most importantly includes that; No denim jeans. No beach swimwear. No shorts other than tailored knee length shorts. No T-Shirts.  Mens shirts must have a collar and long or short sleeves. Ladies must have shirt collars but will be allowed short sleeves.  All players to wear golfing shoes with soft spikes. No trainers will be allowed.

One of the most important new European golf courses of recent years, the Elea Golf Club located in Geroskipou, Koloni, Paphos, Cyprus, will be officially opened on Thursday 21st October 2010 by the course's designer and six-time Majors winner Sir Nick Faldo. The Elea Golf Club, which is situated in Paphos and only 8km from the international airport, will be the centrepiece of Elea Estate, a premium development that will boast luxurious villas and apartments, a boutique hotel supported by a range of dining options and extensive spa facilities.

This magnificent par 71 golf course commands a striking location above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and has been meticulously crafted through dramatic landscape, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course. Commenting on his vision for Elea Golf Club, Sir Nick Faldo said: "This golf course certainly has the potential to play a pivotal role in establishing this part of the world as a leading European golf destination. When we designed the golf course at Elea Golf Club we decided to put the emphasis on thoughtful, rather than big-hitting golf and there are plenty of strategic riddles for the golfer to explore and unravel over all 18 holes."

The fascinating layout circulates through stands of mature carob and olive trees, while the dramatic outcrops of weathered limestone strike a contrast with the deep green of the seaside paspalum grass fairways and semi-roughs. In a carefully planned ecological design, individual holes are fringed by undisturbed and un-irrigated swathes of colourful native 'garrigue' flora. This stunning visual effect invokes a truly Mediterranean feel, while retaining the ethos of a traditional and dramatic experience for the golfer. In addition, the wildlife of partridges, birds of prey, butterflies and lizards thrive on the benefits of this carefully protected environment. One of the significant features of Elea Golf Club is the 2,260sqm Clubhouse that also boasts underground parking facilities.

Opened in October 2002 the Aphrodite Hills is a superb golf clubs and course, built to PGA championship standard. Designed by Cabell Robinson, the course is built on two plateaux, separated by a dramatic ravine and enjoys spectacular views of the sea and coast. The mix is perfect, with pot bunkers, generous fairways and large tiered greens. Situated just 20 minutes from Paphos seafront, 20 minutes from the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, 20 minutes from the golf holiday villa Hieros Kepos

18 holes, Par is 71, walk distance is 6855 metres, this new golf course is carved out of groves of carob and olive trees on two high plateaux divided by a ravine, the course overlooks the Mediterranean sea with all but a few holes enjoying superb sea and coastal views. Designed by world-renowned Cabell Robinson, the course harmonises beautifully with the natural landscape and environment of the surrounding area. Fairways are generously wide off the tee with large 'sculpted' bunkers and contoured or sloped greens. The spectacular par three 7th hole is destined to be much talked about! It plays steeply downhill with a 30m drop across a canyon ravine, requiring careful club selection, to a large undulating green nestling within a grove of olive trees. A long winding cart path takes one down to the green and then up out of the canyon for added thrills!

The golf course clubhouse incorporates a bar and restaurant, with extensive terraces offering spectacular views, locker rooms with bag storage and valet service, and a well-stocked golf shop. Designed by Donald Steel, Tsada Golf Club Course now known as Minthis Hills Golf Club nestles among vineyards next to a 12th century monastery. It is situated 20 km from Paphos overlooking the Mediterranean and cooled by gentle sea breezes in the summer. Tsada - Minthis Hills offers a challenging and enjoyable round of golf in beautiful surroundings and an excellent clubhouse with first class facilities

Minthis Golf Club: is 18 holes, Par is 72, walk distance is 6830 metres, the first grass golf course to be developed in Cyprus, completed in April 1994. Located 20 minutes from the town of Paphos, Tasada Golf Club changed its name to Minthis Hills Golf Club and is a superb PGA championship standard golf club set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery. Designed by Donald Steel, this was the first grass course to be built in Cyprus in 1994 and it sits 550 metres above sea level, ensuring cool breezes during the summer months.

Secret Valley Golf Club Course

Situated in a spectacularly scenic valley just 20 minutes from Paphos seafront, 20 minutes from the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, 20 minutes from the golf holiday villa Hieros Kepos. The Secret Valley golf course was opened in 1996 and was designed to be a PGA championship standard course. The fairways are surrounded by mature trees and dramatic rock formations. The rustic clubhouse has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly personnel.

Secret Valley Golf Club is a panoramic course which is great fun from start to finish. Most of its holes meander through the scenic valley granting a wonderful, picture-friendly backdrop. 18 km east of Paphos, near to "Petra tou Rominou" the legendary birthplace of "Aphrodite" the Greek Goddess of Love. Only 15-20 minutes drive from Pissouri and Paphos, lying in a beautiful scenic valley dotted with grand trees, and surrounded by natural rock formations, the Secret Valley Golf Course will test all your skills and technique, just over 6700 metres to par 72.

The front nine, over 3225 metres, offer four warm-up holes, two opportunities for a birdie, and an easy dog-leg - if you know how !  The back nine, over 3512 metres, gives you no warm-up holes - the 18th at par 5 over 515 metres finishes with what appear to be lakes on the back side of the green.  The golf course clubhouse has a well stocked Golf Pro-shop, a bar and restaurant. Practice facilities include putting greens and chipping area.
